Vista Adventures: Autorestart after Updates when Sleeping
So I am online intermittently at night and have to tend to my baby when he cries. What I didn’t expect when I decided to run Windows Update was that it would, against my wishes when I stepped away from the computer to nurse baby, restart the computer after it finished installing the updates (this is despite my pressing the “remind in 4 hours” option 5 minutes before I left the computer for 15 minutes.
Thus note, if you’re doing anything that requires you to NOT restart the computer, stall the updating of Windows till then. Otherwise you might come back with your work lost and a spanking new list of updates.
